4-Channel Line Tracking Sensor Module for Smart Robot Cars – Photoelectric Infrared Detection Module for line following, obstacle avoidance, and robotic applications.
4-Channel Line Tracking Module
This 4-channel line tracking module has strong adaptability to ambient light. It features one pair of infrared transmitter and receiver tubes. The detection distance can be adjusted using the onboard potentiometer. Turning it clockwise increases the detection distance. The effective sensing range is 1–12 cm, with a 35° detection angle. It is suitable for longer-distance line tracking applications, such as robot line-following.
Specifications
Operating Voltage: DC 3.3V–5V
Operating Current: Recommended power supply of 1A or higher
Operating Temperature: -10°C to +50°C
Dimensions:
Mounting hole diameter: 4.4 mm
PCB: 25 mm (L) × 12 mm (W) × 12 mm (H)
Output Interface: 6-pin connector
Pins 1, 2, 3, 4: Four signal outputs
VCC: Positive power supply
GND: Ground
Output Signal: TTL level (can be directly connected to a microcontroller I/O pin)
When reflected infrared light is detected, the red LED lights up and the output is LOW.
When no infrared light is detected, the LED is off and the output is HIGH.
Applications
Line-following for smart cars or robots (both black and white line tracking).
Cliff/fall detection for smart vehicles.
Obstacle avoidance for smart vehicles.
Notes
Avoid direct sunlight on the sensor during use, as strong light may interfere with operation.
Do not set the sensitivity too high, as excessive sensitivity may cause false triggering.
Near the detection threshold, the LED may glow dimly. This indicates the sensor has not been triggered; the output remains HIGH.
