Dot Matrix Display with Max7219 driver IC

The 8x8 Dot Matrix Display Module has a MAX7219 driver IC and an 8x8 LED Matrix.

All common microcontrollers can be connected to this module by using a 4-wire serial interface. This 8x8 DMD Module requires only 3 I/O lines for driving the display.

The 8x8 Dot Matrix Display Module consists of 10 Pins. There are two pin series on both sides of the module. The pin series alongside the MAX7219 IC Consists of 3 driver pins (DIN, CS, CLK) to drive the display and two power pins (Vcc, GND) for powering the module.

The other one is just on the opposite side of the first one, covered by the LED matrix. Use these pins while connecting multiple 8x8 Dot Matrix Displays in Series with each other. These pins consist of almost the same pins as the first one; the only difference is the DOUT Pin which allows you to connect with the DIN pin of another Module.

Note: Both sides contain VCC, GND, CS, CLK pins.
